Hello Kitty Must Die: Second Reading in LA

Exciting stuff as we take #HKMD to L.A. for a SECOND time.  Our team did an invitation-only reading for the author of the cult novel, Angela Choi.  An overwhelming response! Gasps of surprise and laughter all around.  Onwards and upwards!

Living the 80's Life on AHS: 1984

Gail booked a sweet little role on FX's incredible horror anthology AHS: 1984. She donned high hair and frosty pink lipstick and got to relive the best of the 80's as John Carrol Lynch's sister-in-law. Catch her at the tail end of episode 906.  Wonderful cast. Kick-ass crew. And directed by the marvelous Loni Peristere!

Hello Kitty Must Die Gets a Second Reading in NYC!

So excited to have Hello Kitty Must Die read out load to enraptured audience at Ripley Grier Studios in NYC. Our actor, Ann Hu KILLED it. We were, yet again, convinced by audience feedback that this show is ready to go!  We are building our army of Fiona-believers to bring this story to the stage.  Next up: L.A. will get a taste of Fiona Yu!  Stay tuned!

Exciting weekend prepping for Susan Ferrara's new play

I got to put my full Conservatory training through it's paces for six days, as I helped school mate and TV star Julie Ann Emery organize a reading of Susan Ferrara's new play, THE FALL.  Julie directed this all-star cast (just look below) in 20 hours into a fully stage reading at The Blank Theatre in Hollywood. It was a packed house of movers and shakers.  I was up in the booth running sound...pretending I knew what I was doing. I also helped with props, furniture moving and coffee-getting.  Let me tell you something. Julie Ann Emery is a FORCE.  She may be the hardest working artist I know.  She may have found fame by doing HITCH, FARGO, BETTER CALL SAUL, CATCH 22 and PREACHER but she has no fear when it comes to rolling up her sleeves and getting the job done. Watch out world because this womxn is going to be a Producer/Showrunner/Director as WELL as an actor. She is firing on all cylinders and you would be lucky to work with her and have her lead a team of creatives to success.

Working on TOGETHERISH starring Ed Helms and Patti Harrison

Ithamar and me looking cute as hell.
This was such a fun day.  I got to be the screen-wife of Ithamar Enriquez on the film TOGETHERISH! He's a guy I have admired for awhile. He's funny. He's nice. He's a good human. oh yeah....and a crazy good actor. Apparently we briefly lived in Chicago at the same time...but while I was doing Shakespeare, he was being all "Yes and..." at Second City.  Side bonus: I ALSO got to hang out and chat with legend Fred Melamed.  Fred has done EVERYTHING!!! And is just one of those brilliant actors you recognize but may never know his name. Catch him on LADY DYNAMITE or IN A WORLD.  Do it. You won't be sorry.  After Ithamar and I fan-girled for a second, Fred and I found out we had a mutual friend in common. Seriously. I just can't. Anyway everyone should know director Nikole Beckwith is the bee's knees and the crew was filled with female-identifying bad asses.  A rarity in the on-camera world! BOOM! Womxn-power!
